Shelley – Havering Volunteer Centre

Meet Shelley! She is the CEO of Havering Volunteer Centre and has been part of the voluntary sector for 22 years. She is a true champion of volunteers and is always highlighting the invaluable service of volunteers.

Shelley has been, and continues to be, a volunteer herself.  She often tells of her time at the school PTA, not even knowing what she was doing was volunteering.  She’s told how she became Swan Leader at Rainbows, all so her daughter could join because there weren’t enough leaders to start up a Rainbows in the area.

Shelley has fundraised for many charities including Victim Support, Royal British Legion and of course Havering Volunteer Centre.

Shelley still regularly volunteers at community clean ups, poppy appeals, supports a community association and is Chair of the Havering Safer Neighbourhood Board.

Shelley doesn’t just lead Havering Volunteer Centre, she leads by example and volunteers her time, to give service to others!
