Friends of the Secret Blind Garden

Here are the Friends of the Secret Blind Garden Volunteers who look after a Sensory Garden in partnership with Havering Volunteer Centre.

These volunteers are a huge lifeline as they lovingly tend to the only designated recreational outdoor space in Havering for the visually impaired.

“The voluntary sector often reaches the people that the government can’t, its impact and reach is far wider than imaginable. It has cost saving and economic cost avoidance techniques that ensures every penny counts; the grants and funding received by the sector goes exactly where it’s needed most. We must remember that just because it’s the voluntary sector, it doesn’t mean it’s free. They can’t deliver without the right infrastructure support!”
