Pete – RNLI Volunteer Lifeboat Crew at Teddington Lifeboat Station
I have a background in the ambulance service as a paramedic, and during the pandemic, I worked on the London Ambulance Service, responding to various emergency medical situations.
I volunteered with the RNLI to pass this knowledge and experience to the lifeboat crew and help them learn more about medical emergencies. We all work and train very hard and try to serve the public to the best of our abilities.
As a volunteer, I want to give something back to others, the local community, and the station crew who show great professionalism in what they do. It also makes me feel safe knowing I can protect my family who live near and around water.
