Accessible Inclusive Garden Pathways Project

The Sensory Garden for the Blind is a unique haven in Havering, providing a safe, inclusive green space for individuals with visual and hearing impairments, physical disabilities, and dementia. Maintained by dedicated volunteers, the garden seeks to enhance accessibility and foster social connections.

This project aims to install a safe, paved walkway leading to accessible picnic benches, ensuring individuals can navigate the garden without fear of slipping or falling on uneven grass.

By creating secure pathways and gathering spaces, the initiative will enable visitors to enjoy nature, connect with others, and build friendships in a supportive environment. This enhanced design ensures the garden remains a cherished community asset, welcoming everyone regardless of their abilities.

The Spacehive crowdfunding page is now live and accepting donations.
